3. What does the term "SPDT" mean in relation to relays?
"SPDT" means "Single Pole Double Throw". This means that the relay has a set of "change-over" contacts. SPDT relays have three terminals. The "C" terminal is Common, the NC terminal is Normally Closed and the "NO" terminal is Normally Open.
