FAQ - Controllers

2. What is an analogue output?
An analogue output is a current signal generated by a controller to signal data to an external device such as a chart recorder or a PLC.

Monicon's controllers generate an industry standard 4-20mA current signal. 4mA represents zero gas concentration. 20mA represents full-scale gas concentration. Current signals lower than 4mA represent abnormal conditions such as calibration mode or fault.
