Gas Hazards - Nitrogen
Properties:
Inert colourless and odourless gas constituting 78% of normal air.
Description:
Used extensively in the purging of process and storage vessels and a common cause of plant deaths.
Health Hazards:
Acts as asphyxiant through the displacemant of normal air with the same density as air. See oxygen above for physiological affects.
Typical Applications:
Purging and inerting.
